Directly beside the station
The hotel is positioned directly adjacent to JR Takayama Station and the Takayama Nohi Bus Center. For anyone arriving with luggage, changing to a highway bus, or catching an early departure, that adjacency is the single most useful thing about the address.
Arriving by train
Leave JR Takayama Station through the East Exit (Norikura-guchi). The hotel entrance is roughly 50 meters away, about a one-minute walk. Reception is on the 2nd floor of the Ekimae Shin-Toichi Building: take the elevator or the stairs up one level, and the front desk is right there.
Arriving by bus
Exit the Takayama Nohi Bus Center on the JR Takayama Station side. The hotel entrance is about a one-minute walk from the terminal, on the 2nd floor of the Ekimae Shin-Toichi Building.
Arriving by car
The hotel does not have parking of its own, but several coin-operated lots sit within a couple of minutes on foot around the station. Meitetsu Kyosho Takayama Ekimae (Hanasato-machi 6-9) charges about 100 yen per 30 minutes in the daytime and 100 yen per 60 minutes at night, with a 900-yen maximum per 24 hours. Times Takayama Ekimae (Showa-machi 1-325) charges about 200 yen per hour, with a 24-hour maximum of 800 yen on weekdays and 1,000 yen on weekends and holidays. Rates can change, so please check the boards on site. In winter, roads around Takayama can be snow-covered or icy, so please come prepared for winter driving.
